Glitter and foil paper card

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing a card that I made for the Altenew May challenge.Inspired by the beautiful ceiling picture,this is my card no 3.it took me some practice with glitter to get it right and other than that the card was easy to make .

I love visiting Tasnim’s blog cardsandbookmarks.com and I love all the cards that she has made in all these years, they are so creative, elegant and so clever and this card was inspired by one of her cards as well that she made using glitter..her’s is absolutely stunning.I wanted to try something different for the May challenge and so I thought I could use glitter with altenew stamps and so I gave it a try. And since foil is so in ,in cardmaing world.. I thought lets marry them both and the result was one shiny card!lol

It was also challenging to take pictures and I had to take several of them until I got this one.I still feel the picture does not do justice to the shinyness of the glitter and the foil. Its more shinny and prettier in real life. For this card I used the Persian motifs from Altenew and stamped it with gold embossing powder and then used the Martha Stewarts glue pen and colored with 2 shades of blue and gold(the colors in the ceiling pie,Tunisia) glitter.then embossed the foil paper using the 2 different embossing folders from darice and cricut and stuck everything on a blue cardstock which is my card base. Altenew May challenge,Tunisia

Today I am sharing another card using the Altenew stamps.. I m playing along the Altenew May challenge .I love the Altenew stamps and i cant wait to get more of it.. I made another card too, you can find it here.

For this card first i embossed it using the frame darice embossing folder and then i masked it and used the Heidi Swapp stencil and distress ink blue and did the background.Then i used the tiniest flower from the Altenew vintage flower set and stmaped it making a background .then on a piece of white card stock i stamped another flower from the same stamp set in blue and gold embossing powders and fuzzy cut it and then i arranged it in a shape of a heart but before that i stamped the sentiment (persian motif stamp set)on a piece of parchment paper(i did not have vellum) and gave a gold strip of card stock lining on either side and then arranged the flowers and then put some rhinestones and a ribbon the finish it off..

I made a card for the Altenew May challenge .The ceiling pic is very gorgeous .I love the Altenew Stamps ..They are extremly versatile… and its the floral design i really love.. Its like embroidery.. Love it.. Anyways so here is the inspiration photo and my card. I really enjoyed making it..

So for this card i used the pearl water colors from michaels  ARTIST LOFT ,and its amazing.. it has that shimmer and its a dense color and very pretty.(and for the price, cant beat it!)

So i began stamping(ALTENEW persian motif stamp set) my card with versamark and black embossing powder and heat set it on water color paper and then i colored with 3 shades of blue and gold and then heat embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder and added some sequins and blue rhinestone and tied it up with a gold ribbon bow.I used a light blue card base is (6″x6″) and jewel blue cardstock for the panel and then made a frame with a black cardstock .

Another card using Altenew stamps

Hi Everyone,

Today i made a card inspired by the runway inspired challenge#82.

I am so happy by the way the card came out. I love love love the Altenew stamps.. They are amazing and you can use it in soo many different ways. I was so lucky to get these stamps from a local stamp store near my house because most of the time its out of stock online. I have been waiting soo long to try these stamps out ,especially the vintage flowers.I cant wait to create more using these stamp sets..

So here is my card

So for this card i used the Altenew Persian motifs stamp set and the vintage flowers.It was an easy project but not quick.But i had lots of fun making it.

                           

I used the leaves of the Persian motif stamp set and randomly stamped the front of the black card stock and heat embossed it in gold and just to add a pop of color.. i felt red just looked good.. and then i stamped one of the vintage flower on the black card stock and heat embossed it in gold too and fuzzy cut it and stuck a rhinestone to go with the sentiment .i used foam dots to adhere the sentiment and some flowers on the card.I also used thin strips of gold cardstock to finish off the sentiment.I wanted to give the belt like effect of the dress .Hope it makes sense.

Altenew april challenge

Hi everyone ,

Today i made a card for the Altenew April challenge.

Its a last minute card i made.Hope you like it.

Supplies used:

I used the altenew vintage flowers stamp set and sentiment is from the altenew persian motifs.

I made the background using the  distress inks and i used some of the flowers from the stamp set and partially inked the leaves and stamped directly on the card.and heat embossed the centres of the flowers in gold and also heat embossed the edges in gold and adhered it to a black card stock.

This is my first attempt on using the altenew stamps, I bought it form a local craft store this evening and i wanted to participate in this challenge.. I m keeping my fingers crossed..Please leave your feedback .
