Colorful card

Hi Everyone,

I could not stop by making just one card (you can find the link here) for the runway inspired challenge #81

But this time i wanted to do something different and use the scraps and found this to be the best way to do it .

I like how The Runway Inspired Challenge makes me think out of the box.. and i really enjoy just to see what i can come up with .. so I kept thinking of different ways to create the pattern and then it just struck me how cool would it be to create a basket weave pattern.. (if you think in a way fabric is also made this way)and so i thought how suitable to create a card just like fabric!

And the Mother Nature being so beautiful and colorful in Virginia (where i live) and the beautiful colored outfit.. I had to make another card.

The technique for this card:

I cut out thin strips of card stock(mostly scraps of paper) in the colors matching the dress and arranged them horizontally and vertically and taped it down on the table and then i did the basket weave pattern to it.

Once it was done i stuck it to a printer paper and cut it out the size i wanted it to be and then i placed it diagonally on the card base and then i cut out a frame from black card stock and stamped the frame with the stampology swirls stamp and dusted some perfect pearls and finished it off with a ribbon, flowers, rhinestone and a sentiment from Hampton arts and stuck the panel on the Kraft card base.

A close up of the card.

I Am also entering this card into Virginia’s view layering challenge

Thanks for visiting. Happy crafting.
